Update September 21

Bill Maher is still going with this

a video from his show with Toobin – where he justifies his insistence ‘these people are liars” – therefore nothing they say can be accepted

Gee, Bill, i remember when you were doing a number on Al Gore in 2000 – of course he didn’t have the experience or the credibility of the one you push on us now….

Update September 5

Vanity Fair is still clinging to the ol’ conspiracy theory

Update 4 September 2 Rather than apologize, the slanderers crow over Bristol’s pregnancy. Not so fast

The new puritans dug themselves deeper now

Update 3 Obama distances himself – DU still has it on “GREATEST” page

Update 2: Kos finally retracts

A poll attached to the retraction asks: “Is this helping?” or “should I delete this?”

Also Palin made a statement about her daughter

ST. PAUL (Reuters) – The 17-year-old daughter of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is pregnant, Palin said on Monday in an announcement intended to knock down rumors by liberal bloggers that Palin faked her own pregnancy to cover up for her child.

Update of September 1st

More direct debunking

They landed in Anchorage around 10:30 p.m. Thursday and an hour later were at the Mat-Su Regional Medical Center in Wasilla.

Baldwin-Johnson said she had to induce labor, and the baby didn’t come until 6:30 a.m. Friday.

“It was smooth. It was relatively easy,” Palin said. “In fact it was the easiest of all,” probably because Trig was small, at 6 pounds, 2 ounces.

As it was to be expected, the whole shoddy concoction was easily debunked

Apparently one of the photos they were using to prove Sarah Palin wasn’t pregnant was…from 2006

Baby Trig Palin, a Downs Syndrome baby, was born on April 18, 2008.

No matter how you do the math, there is no way a girl can be pregnant from 2006 to April of 2008.

The mob at Kos was outvoted by reality. Seems “facts” no longer have a liberal bias….

Not to be deterred by reality a forum that shall not be named has THIs on it’s “best of” page:

ORIGINAL ENTRY

I hesitated whether to blog this – as on one hand I didn’t want to give this publicity, on the other it’s catching them in flagrante delicto. I think this does wonder for their credibility

Here’s a Kos denizen about to concoct a story about Sarah Palin (should the blog at the link disappear, let me know, I have screen caps. From the very context of the post – see the stricken through ‘evidence”

it is obvious that there is no evidence hatsoever to start such a story. yet the poster is loking for consensus through a poll from other bobots whether to start it anyway.

For a while – the non-story was linked at memeorandum – they eventually  knew better and removed it.

So, here’s journalism by mob rule at its best:

Okay, 11 comments in and already some people are crying out to delete this.  So I’m adding a poll:

Poll

Should we go after this story?

No, it’s a private matter and you should delete this diary
27% 2414 votes
Yes, the future of the world is at stake, nothing’s off the table
56% 4994 votes
Not sure yet, need more evidence

Seems the Kos denizens want to make up a story. why not? remember the “darkening of Obama” in Hillary commercials? Kos’s too. I wonder if that was polled too.

Update

I since found another diary – which elaborates the “story” with photos of Palin as “proof”. I extracted a few of the comments – a good one

This diary reminds me of the (2+ / 0-)

someone I know

Awesome effort! (0 / 0)

Everyone knows women are only good barefoot and pregnant!
One bitch down (our darkened Obama video helped!) and another one about to be taken out.
I suggest you throw in some girl on girl action in this story – Keith will leap at this so much faster if you spice it up!
Looking forward when the life of politics will be once again safe again for us guys!

it will, if true, then I will have to go ahead and say that “Yes, God indeed does love Barack Obama”. How lucky can one man get? No, It can’t be this easy….

and as a bonus, here’s Donnie ‘get over it” Fowler giggling about a hurricane hitting during the GOP convention and being proof that “God is on our side”. He better hope no one dies in this funny, funny circumstance

Turns out Michael Moore said it too
