I saved this leaftlet the Obama campaign was handing in 2008 because I knew it will come in handy
That leaflet that was the net change after 2 elections (1994 and 200) was circulated by the Obama campaign.
After telling Marion Berry in 2009 that this will be different than 1994 because “This time you got ME”
Well, this is what “ME” got in just one election
House

Senate – add one seat from last December special election – 6+1
governors
and 13 state legislatures.
8 years of the Clintons vs 2 years of Obama! With the media investigating Clinton non-stop and making Obama the Messiah little difference.
Of course, Obama doesn’t think this is his fault and is ready to compromise some moore
But the president is said to not view the Republican wave as a personal rebuke. Rather, he sees it as an indication of continued economic anxiety and an admonition for both parties to work together. Some of the “no compromise” rhetoric Republicans are using is a misreading of the public mood, a senior White House official said.
It was only Clinton’s fault back them as IACF.
And about that economic anxiety – whose job was to fix that? Clinton’s?

I had quite a few apologies posted here since Jr.jr showed his true colors to all.
I wanted to mark this because (almost) all the right words were said
and dedicating a whole blog to it is cool.
By way of an apology, I dedicate this site to all those whose opinions and experience I wasn’t willing to consider during the 2008 Democratic Primary season; to all of the Democrats who opposed an Obama nomination I apologize. To all of those Democrats whom I considered too old, too dumb, too unenlightened, too female, too poor, too uneducated, too conservative… I most humbly apologize. I have been put in my place. You were right. You were right and I’m on your side now. Oh, and thank you!
You may want to go there and respond.
P.S – I used ol’ PUMAS in the title for brevity sake, and snark . Ol’PUMA was also meant in historical context – PUMAs standing up to the thieves of the primary and the corporate Obama.
Present days PUMAs have became too ambiguous a tent for me to be under it.
I guess what our new friend needs to acknowledge next is the electoral fraud they chose to ignore/be too comfortable with. Then maybe some meaningful resistance, activism can be renewed.
There are so many sweet memories – the single bullet theory, Anita Hill and many others. I hope my readers will post them.

But my favorite – as promised – is his little stunt in 2001: trying a second impeachment of Clinton
Specter: Clinton Could be Impeached Again for Pardongate Crimes
Senator Arlen Specter suggested Sunday morning that if Congress learns that ex-President Clinton is guilty of criminal conduct in Pardongate, he could be impeached all over again. The leading Senate Judiciary Committee Republican said that if Clinton is convicted in a Pardongate Senate trial, he could lose his presidential pension, his Secret Service protection and even his presidential library trust fund. He also hinted that the House of Representatives would soon consider such a move.
.Oh, the humanity! Specter is outta here and Clinton still has secret Service protection…

What’s your favorite Specter memory?

This is obviously a schadenfreude post

. In a way, Obama played this really well… they sucked Specter in, got him to caucas Dem, then…..
watched as he went down to someone else with little effort done on their part.Specter was already unelectable as a Republican anyways. They sort of backed him. But not really.
It doesn’t explain why Obama was robocalling for Specter last week.
Obama wanted Specter to win.
It Was Part of the Deal
For his defection. Specter is a worm. How funny that he switched parties to avoid losing in the primary.
Kind of funny spin.
How many times had Obama lost face now, throwing his support behind these shitty “moderate” corporatist candidates?
and Chris Mathews and Howard Fineman are devastated…
…that Sestak and Critz, who won Murtha’s old seat, won tonight!
