I am writing this retroactively – it’s really July 11 and a movement was born – not with Madison Avenue and publicity – but truly from the grass roots. The next day, the name PUMA was invented. And the rest is history!
I dated this may 31 because I wanted to commemorate:

The day I left the Democratic party – Florida 2000-Florida 2008
The day I went to DC and met the other PUMAS
I wasn’t writing then, but fortunately, I did take photos
