It seems Stop and Frisk is once again the issue of this mayoral election. I remember when Occupy was given a favorable ruling by the court and Bloomberg went ahed and changed the judge/ got his way.
Once again, here’s the AM NY headline
and here’s NY Post celebrating in their gracious fashion .I hope New Yorkers will show up and vote on Tuesday!
There was a time, in 2001 when the Daily News and even the Post were taking shots at Bloomberg and would have easily sunk his candidacy by simply quoting his ugly words. Money must have change hands and the real Bloomberk became “Mike”. Seems like with Bush, once the lame duck term, some truth is allowed to peek out,
Mike Ihave my own army Bloomberg let this one out. I am sure “stop and frisk” will sound legit now, and its proponent Quinn is greatly helped by this
Immersed as I was in the NSA horror, I thought for a second that – gasp – Bloomberg was doing something good for a change
I should have known better. He simply wants “his army” to break the Fourth Amendment (his stop and frisk) without federal supervision
It’s about his “stop and frisk” policy being challenged and the federal scrutiny it’s undergoing
“We have disciplined and well-trained police officers whose experience has been paid in blood.”
Maybe, But whose blood?
They are all again on first name basis with their favorite billionaire as they report this tabloid story
with only Metro keeping a professional tone ,
