Listening to Lady Boomer telling us: Hillary did not release her delegates! Also,  about the new petition the delegates started – for a voting on the floor – 800 signatures needed, 400 in the bag

If you know any delegates – ask them to sign them – tell them the petition is just about representing their voters

There was a Riverdaughter post about the sisterhood of the traveling pantsuit – and the color orange is also the Denver PUMA official

Starting to feel better about the speech. Before the show, all I took with me was “Keep Going”

Betty Jean – looking at the faces of Obama supporters in shock – they met Hillary Clinton for the first time

Sheri – only delegates – no Obama supporters in Denver – just PUMAs

Callers say speech sound inaugural, presidential…It was bittersweet….

Personally, I started by being moved – her entrance. i became angry – determined to vote McCain as she went on. I was happy she mentioned women’s rights. And paying homage to Bill Clinton.  I only remember “keep going!” And Bill with tears in his eyes. And Michelle glaring!

Now, listening to others, the anger is going away. The determination stays.

Murphy:

she was herself tonight because she was talking to us, her voters. No teleprompter, from the heart. Brilliant.

However Murphy thinks delegates were  released

Kudos to Betty Jean for her passion and work

If Hillary not nominated, PUMApac will continue to campaign against Obama

Stay off the TV!

Which I will. And sign off.

Denver Post’s video of Cheesman Park rally

Democrats show they are anything but:

Police in riot gear surround
protesters on 15th Street near
Civic Center park in downtown
Denver on Monday night. This
is not America. This is what a
police state looks like. You re
worried about Beijing? This is repression,
one activist shouted. (Jason Halley, Special to The Denver Post)

The Hill tells on Bill

He said: “Suppose you’re a voter, and you’ve got candidate X and candidate Y. Candidate X agrees with you on everything, but you don’t think that candidate can deliver on anything at all. Candidate Y you agree with on about half the issues, but he can deliver. Which candidate are you going to vote for?”

“For those of us interested in politics, it was an endlessly fascinating process already, and it’s still got some twists and turns between now and November,” Clinton said.

They still cling to the “fairy tale” fairy tale so…

meanwhile, Mercury news awards PUMA wearing Carville

Best pundit quip

Never at a loss for biting words, Democratic strategist and CNN commentator James Carville said both Obama and Hillary Clinton have work to do to make sure the overwhelming majority of Clinton backers support Obama. Switching loyalties can be hard, he said.

“Support is not like some sub-prime mortgage that you bundle up and sell to someone else,” Carville said on CNN.

More choice quotes picked by Bostonboomer at Confluence

Of which I am adding the ABC report as it fits this blog’s title

As frustrated Democrats converged on Denver yesterday, some began chanting “caucus fraud,” while others shouted the word “sweetie,” a reference to the time Obama called a female reporter by the same name. One Clinton supporter who spoke to ABC News said Obama couldn’t be trusted. Another said, “He’s shifty and untrustworthy.”

Update with another protest Los Angeles lawyer and Hillary Clinton supporter Gloria Allred finds a way to make her point at the Democratic National Convention

Gloria Alred was fed up with delegation leaders rebuffing her efforts to give Clinton her due. She said she had wanted to honor Clinton’s “historic candidacy” in an address to fellow delegates at their Tuesday morning breakfast, but was turned down.

She tied a cloth napkin around her mouth and distributed a flier asking the question: “Why is Gloria being gagged?”

Later, she said she wants to “fight for Obama, but first I want to honor the votes that were cast for Clinton.”

FOX News just reported that the “agreement” to suspend the roll call vote and nominate The One by acclimation may have fell apart this afternoon.

Excellent news if true!

Obama campaign raising money of Michelle speech

The Obama campaign on Tuesday already sent out a fund-raising appeal asking for money with the pitch….Michelle gave a great speech last night.

Donny strikes again

Party leaders said they fear a nationally televised floor demonstration that would underscore party divisions.

“It seems to be a little more of a problem than I anticipated,” former Democratic Party chairman Don Fowler told the AP. “All you need is 200 people in that crowd to boo and stuff like that and it will be replayed 900 times. And that’s not what you want out of this.”

yeah, Donny – as that other Donny used to say: “Democracy is messy”

And Will on Fox

Today’s protest in Denver

“It wasn’t a contest, it was a foregone conclusion. They (the DNC leadership) just decided that Barack Obama was going to win.”

and some Denver jokes

“The theme of the Democratic Convention is unity. Unfortunately they can’t agree on how that works.” –David Letterman

“This Thursday, Barack Obama is gonna give his acceptance speech, and reportedly it’s going to include performances by Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen. Yeah. And they say Obama’s not black enough!” –Conan O’Brien

“Of course, Obama’s supporters got him his usual birthday gift of gold, frankincense and myrrh.” –Jay Leno

“And Barack Obama now says he is open to offshore oil drilling. So, apparently, when he promised change, he was talking about his mind. I guess that’s what that was.” –Jay Leno

To the tune of Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds

Picture yourseld in a seat,

in a stadium

Stuck there since 2

No way you can pee

Waiting and waiting for the Only One

Universe shattering speech

Pay no attention to votes or polls

that might tell you that he LOST

One minute he’s high in the sky

Then he’s gone

Mile High Sky with the Looser

Mile High Sky with the loser

Wait……

An extensive article on PUMAs in Denver with an agenda obvious since the title:

Angry PUMAs on the prowl in Denver

They don’t care if they make Chris Matthews happy, or if they make Hillary Clinton look bad. They don’t even care that she wants them to stop.

Ah, the fiends!

There’s one or two sensible paragraphs

“There is such a fear of women coming into power, that when they protest, they are given more weight,” said Marie Wilson, head of the White House Project, before speaking as part of the Unconventional Women’s programming, acknowledging the likelihood of protest. “Just the fact of women saying they support their candidate and want to make their voices heard sounds more scary than it would be if it were guys. That’s just part of backlash. But come on. When women gather around a water fountain, men get scared. People oughta just chill.”

and some interviews with delegates. But when it comes to PUMA, salon just wants us to be…nice.

I remember women like these making it hard for us to get the right to vote 88 years ago too…

The patronizing ends with

They didn’t seem to care that they might be dooming their heroine to a legacy she never sought and certainly does not want. Instead, Mar showed me her shirt, which read: “PUMA Clinton Democratic No Deal Obama. DNC a disgrace.”

Thanks, mother – I see you have the script ready – with or without us!

Update

And then there’s the even nastier Boston Herald article which uses the latest meme in the MSM against us: “bitter-enders” (is this a promotion from dead enders”?)

The author sounds like an Obot and had this reaction to  seeing Audacity of Democracy:

PUMA’s “Audacity of Democracy” mini-film says Obama cheated in caucuses and cheated in Texas, and it mocks his supporters as dim-witted Kool-Aid drinkers. In an interview before the convention, Murphy insisted she isn’t secretly a Republican but just enraged that the DNC has jettisoned the democratic election process “in favor of transcendence” with . . . . The Chosen One.

OK, forgive me, Darragh, but the PUMA shtick looks more out-in-the-ozone every day. I would say hysterical, but that would be sexist.

Of course, Margery. Only in the ozone layer elections get ever stolen. here on Earth, God makes sure that the likes of Bush and Obama “clinch” something or other.

Now Boston Herald is a Rupert Murdoch paper. Rupert wants Obama – badly. And Margery Eagan who wrote this acrimonios screech said in the past she was “rolling the dice for Obama”

Sorry, Marge – when you  lose, don’t blame the “bitter enders”. We warned you.

and meanwhile Darragh posts at PUMApac:

Hang tight folks.
THE STORY IS CHANGING

It will take a few days for this to become the main story but it is building big time:

THERE IS A BIG PROBLEM IN THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY. HALF OF DEMOCRATS ARE SAYING THEY WILL NOT SUPPORT THE NOMINEE. THIS IS VERY BIG NEWS. WE HAD TO TAKE OUR MESSAGE TO DENVER TO MAKE SURE THIS BECAME THE STORY — AND WE HAVE SUCCEEDED.

WE HAVE SUCCEEDED.

THANKS TO YOU.

I just got off the phone with Radio Ireland — going on KGORadio in CA at 11am mountain time.

The BBC later today.

THE FOREIGN PRESS IS ALL OVER THIS.

no one talks about racism anymore. No one is talking about “bitter crazy fringe holdouts.”

THE STORY OUT OF DENVER IS THAT THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY IS FACING A POLITICAL DISASTER. A POLITICAL DISASTER. SHALL I SAY IT AGAIN?

A POLITICAL DISASTER.

Obama needs a 15 point bounce over McCain coming out of this — a 15 point bounce. Anything less is EXTREMELY OMINOUS.

PUMA PAC — WE DID IT. WE DID IT. WE DID IT.

So says Rasmussen

daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows Barack Obama attracting 44% of the vote while John McCain also earns 44%. When “leaners” are included, it’s still tied with Obama at 46% and McCain at 46%. Yesterday, with leaners, Obama had a three-point advantage over McCain

The sham festival in denver sure is working wonders:

Obama’s support has declined in each of the last three individual nights of polling. This may be either statistical noise or a reaction to the selection of Biden. If it’s the latter, it probably has less to do with Biden than Hillary Clinton. Forty-seven percent (47%) of Democratic women say Clinton should have been picked and 21% of them say they’ll vote for McCain.
McCain is viewed favorably by 57% of the nation’s voters, Obama by 53% . Clinton is viewed favorably by 47%.

gee, I wonder why that is? Could it be the rewriting of the history?

Update

Gallup confirms it

– It’s official: Barack Obama has received no bounce in voter support out of his selection of Sen. Joe Biden to be his vice presidential running mate. Gallup Poll Daily tracking from Aug. 23-25, the first three-day period falling entirely after Obama’s Saturday morning vice presidential announcement, shows 46% of national registered voters backing John McCain and 44% supporting Obama

Nancy-9%-Pelosi : Polls are shortchanging Obama

“I’m very comfortable with those polls,” Pelosi said at a rooftop breakfast panel near the Democratic National Convention. “I think he is trouncing him. I want more of a spread, of course — I want it all.”

You would now, Nancy, wouldn’t ya? I mean it’s more than 9%!
