It’s official: NYC tabloids get yesterday news. They finally got around to the security snafu covered by upstate papers yesterday
Best title goes to NY Metro
although the Daily News does well too
Heck of a job, Barack!
NY Post features a gossip story which confirms (yet again) “what a feminist White House Looks like”
NY Times goes with the “dropping like flies” story
and so does Wall Street Journal, adding the Yemen conflict
while upstate all papers cover the governor’s State of the State speech
Maybe we get it in the city tomorrow – unless the White House tells its papers not to

They’re still rerunning it on TV also. It certainly has dimished health care coverage to nearly nothing. I fear that O’s week’s delay in responding has been pushed aside to show the strong leader (that he isn’t). He’s gonna be on TV today and the early morning crews tell us we’re gonna be shocked at what he’s uncovered.
What’s not being covered, except in Philly, so I mention it here, is this:
The 3 TSA-supplied bomb-sniffing dogs assigned to the Philadelphia Airport have failed their November and December re-certification tests, rendering them totally uncertified. Yet they are still ‘on duty’ at the airport. TSA claims the dogs’ appearance as well as all the other safeguards, renders travelers there to be safe.

It boggles the mind. Really, how hard is it to just replace 3 dogs? But it’s not just the TSA or the security breach, every decision is weighed, measured & parsed for “appearance” which is why we have troops dying in Afghanistan, why closing Gitmo & putting detainees on trial has turned into such a boondoggle, and why health care reform (which had wide approval) has turned into a mandate to buy insurance.
I’m very worried. It’s obvious that Obama’s & the Dems are running scared now, and god only knows what his PR team has up it’s sleeve to “save face.”

Just found this at Washington Examiner:
Senator Ben Nelson, D-Neb., who has come under heavy criticism for his vote on health care reform, now seems to regret the whole thing ever happened. He’s down 31 points
More of the chickens coming home to roost – which is topic of newer NYS post!

Maybe this relaxed and literally laid-back attitude in meeting with the national security team explains some of the failings?

The caption reads:
“President Barack Obama stretches while meeting with members of his national security team in the Oval Office on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009. “
