I know it will get little coverage, so I’ll underline the mentions

the cost of Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security will continue to skyrocket. That’s why I’ve called for a bipartisan fiscal commission, modeled on a proposal by Republican Judd Gregg and Democrat Kent Conrad. (Applause.) This can’t be one of those Washington gimmicks that lets us pretend we solved a problem. The commission will have to provide a specific set of solutions by a certain deadline. Now, yesterday, the Senate blocked a bill that would have created this commission. So I’ll issue an executive order that will allow us to go forward, because I refuse to pass this problem on to another generation of Americans.

Yup. Someone has to pay for this

Also, interesting from Reagan’s admirer – when he mentions budget surplus, Clinton’s name is missing

At the beginning of the last decade, the year 2000, America had a budget surplus of over $200 billion. (Applause.) By the time I took office, we had a one-year deficit of over $1 trillion and

The guy who “didn’t change the directi0n of the country”

by anonymously creating a surplus

Remember what he did to women last election? Turns out he really didn’t think much more of blacks either

From the B0b0ts

Chris Matthews, you are not a joke anymore. You are a racist.

He said, “I forgot he was black for an hour.” Then he carried on. I was shocked. :wow:

Remember when his job was to “help this countryby praising Obama?

CHRIS MATTHEWS: Yeah, well, you know what? I want to do everything I can to make this thing work, this new presidency work, and I think that –JOE SCARBOROUGH: Is that your job? You just talked about being a journalist!

MATTHEWS: Yeah, it is my job. My job is to help this country.

You should have stuck to the tingle up your leg

This is one for my Schadenfreude list

Update with video

To answer the comments, as for the reactions from the democrats….

They made sure Joe Wilson will STFU ahead of time

WASHINGTON – The South Carolina congressman who called Barack Obama a liar during the president’s last speech before Congress said he’ll be on his best behavior for the State of the Union address Wednesday night.

So, this time the accusation was “mouthed” rather than shouted – from Justice Alito

as the video at the link clearly shows.

I don’t agree with the SCOTUS decision in any way shape or form. But I wonder if the witch hunt for dissenters will be as intense this time

And it seems there was more “mouthing” involved

McCain seen mouthing ‘blame it on Bush’ when Obama outlines the problems he inherited.

This one too is backed by video.

Oh, yeah, and if you could see in their brains, I bet even more dissent! (which is now NOT PATRIOTIC).

I suggest these people get videos 24/7 and their offenses reported!

It’s not that Teh Best speech ever didn’t get the coverage it propagandized for

It did. But that other “Jobs” got almost as much

even if not universally good either

But then Obama had his dissenters too
