The headline of the day belongs to DC’s Express: TRUST DEFICIT – and finally I feel recognized “NOT JUST THE TEA PARTIERS” – seems I am now part of the 80%. It seems to be based on this poll
The survey found that just 22 percent of those questioned say they can trust Washington almost always or most of the time and just 19 percent say they are basically content with it.
Which is funny, as the tea party was estimated at 18%. Some day, attention will be paid to the remaining 62%
while Stars and Stripes describes army clusterfucks leading to more death
.Some war news made in WaPo as well
.From LA Times we find out that the new, liberated, freedom and liberty Iraq was no better than Saddam’s
.But it’s the Wall Street Journal with the best news: new investigations against Goldman are on their way
.In NYC, the big story is the volcanic ash, that most often, in an effort to get cute is used in headlines as “ass”
The Volcano after-effects are still on page one. Not only it keeps messing air traffic as per the bland WaPo
but The Chicago Tribune tells us, it even caused Obama to miss the Polish president funeral! What’s with this volcano? Is it racist or something?
.Which gives NY Post good reasons for its headline – next to a spectacular photo
.and higher education passes costs on to students
.But more importantly – and Obama Times does an interesting page one for a change – orchestrated leaks seem to set the stage for a war in Iran
The Iceland volcano is the star of most covers, with DC’s Express marvel of placement: The huge “GROUNDED” headline, has Obama looking in the distance towards planet Mars – maybe because the budget cuts and job losses to NASA
.Washington Times sticks with the Tea Party on the cover and also tells us Obama flaunts his Prayer Day proclamation over the courts objection. It’s good to be king!
The ruling will not stop President Obama from recognizing, as he did last year, a national day of prayer, said White House spokesman Ben LaBolt. Judge Crabb delayed the imposition of her ruling pending an appeal.
“We have reviewed the court’s decision, and it does not prevent the president from issuing a proclamation,”
.In NY, upstate they are still giving the Tea Party a cover
.while in the city, NY Post stamps his brand by giving the volcano a cute name
