People are not staying out of the area because of OWS. On the contrary. Supporters and tourists are there at all hours. The useless barricades however…that’s another story.

Oh, this is move your money week. I don’t have much, but it’s all being moved to a local bank with the highest customer satisfaction in the area, and whose ad campaign is: 175 years in business, and no bailouts!
I hope there is a big exodus from the big banks regardless of their blinking! 11/5…dump your big bank!

Occupy Wall Street activists and their allies have been touting Saturday as “Bank Transfer Day.” Credit unions say they’re already seeing results, thanks to the firestorm over Bank of America’s $5 debit-card fee: Since Sept. 29, when BofA announced plans for the new fee – since reversed – credit unions have gained an estimated 650,000 members and $4.5 billion in new deposits.
