It is complete and utter BS to say “Obama HAS to appeal DADT decision”.

An appeal against the appeal

President Obama, abandon this appeal of the unconstitutional ruling on DADT

and a reality as  written before by a DUdie winner

12. If either of those is true, the people holding the view are pretty scary.

The latter being the scarier option – wanting to hold off until Obama can get the credit. While scary, it is completely believable. Permalink

and a great hypocrisy  argument

13. The most appalling hypocrisy of the appeal defenders is . . .

. . . again and again, on health insurance reform, the wars, etc., we were relentlessly lectured about letting the perfect be the enemy of the good.

Now LGBTers are being told that nothing less than the perfect will suffice.

Just awesome. Permalink

A locked thread with missing posts

It’s been 6 days since DADT was thrown out, and no enormous consequences yet

in which Nance is sporting the rainbow flag while being homophobic

12. You’ve just hit the nail on the head …

“How can you disagree with that blog post and yet sport a rainbow avatar?”

That is exactly the problem here. Those who support the fight for equality for all citizens are labeled as “homophobes”

So, this is the latest euphemism: “equality for ALL CITIZEBS” – what makes you so special?

A nice piece of sarcasm

Boy, those Dems sure know & appreciate their base.

I just got an email from Rahm Emanuel demanding that I contribute money to re-elect his Blue Dogs to the House.

By golly, I wasn’t going to send them anything, but now that Rahm has put it so eloquently, I’ll scrape afew bucks together even if it means I have to sell my yellow dog, Gus.

Predictably, the point is missed by most

7. I’m not sure if Rahm has the same reputation among our dependable voting ‘base’

. . . as he does here and among self-described progressives.

I’m not speaking from any empirical evidence, but I’d wager he’s seen by many Democrats as a positive influence on the successes of this President and administration. Permalink

The irony in that comment is too heavy for this page.

The good ol’ days

In 1996 Clinton DOJ intentionally and deliberately FAILED to appeal a court decision …

The same thing many “legal experts” now claim is “impossible”. As I outlined in another post there is nothing anywhere that compels the administration (or any officer of the court) to actively defend Unconstitutional laws. In 1996 a federal judge found the Dornan Amendment (a bill that prohibited soldiers who tested positive for HIV to remain in the service) Unconstitutional.

After staying the DADT injunction

Lt. Dan Choi: “After what he did today, I will not vote for Barack Obama”

First Obama fan reaction:

1. Isn’t he Mr. Choi now?

From another discussion

8. DADT *did* end on his watch. A judge ended it, and Obama’s reinstating it.

other signs of anger

A blunt message to straight supporters of Obama (not all of them but some of them)

You need to stop using threads on gay suicides and the It Gets Better project to defend Obama and bash Hillary Clinton. You just need to stop it right now and you need to tell those doing it to stop it right now…….

When some profess ignorance

3. look in any thread praising Hillary for her It Gets Better video or for wearing purple. Permalink

On a brand new betrayal

Obama nixes gay judge nominee because he didn’t think ‘Merry Christmas’ was inclusive

they find the multidimensional chess angle

8. Gosh, they didn’t nominate someone who would be guaranteed a massive defeat in the Senate?

How shocking. :sarcasm:

And the DUdie

goes to the homophove wearing the rainbow avatar because “she is for the equality of all. From Canada
