Tuesday Howdy DUdie time!

Hope springs eternal

Will the President do a better job without Rahm Emanuel ??

Of course the apologists spot the mistake

17. False premise…. the President has been doing an excellent job…

…not perfect, but excellent. Permalink

Not perfect???? All by his little self!

Piling on:

“I just feel like punching some hippies”

Having taken a swing through some of the self-described “progressive” blogs, the ones where the posters describe themselves as the “democratic wing of the Democratic Party,” I can say – they need to be punched. Hard…..

They love it, obviously.

Cheering for misogyny

Is Meg Whitman A Whore? A Whore? A WHORE?

Everyone agrees she should STFU

That was my thought

NutMeg might want to think twice about making a big deal of this–does she really want to call attention to the way she’s sold out to big money interests?

and some blame the Rs for all the sexism

8. O’Donnell: “I’m not a witch” Whitman: “I’m not a whore”

The GOP at their finest. Nice going ladies. Permalink

Logic

The base is leaving the Democrats

Yep, those ever reliable Democratic voting Independent voters have had it with the Democrats.

Why?

Because the Democrats are socialists who don’t enact socialistic policies.

harruuuumph!

and the upshot

2. Well, we’ve been told that we have

no power but if the Democrats lose it’s all our fault. Which is it?Permalink

and illogic

Should we really be shocked that the Dems are about to go down?

After all, many of the people here and on other so called liberal blogs have spent time and energy telling everyone how big of a disappointment Obama and the Dems are. If liberals see them as disappointments, should you really expect independents to vote for them?

I think some of you are about to get what you deserve. It’s just a shame that people who appreciate the job that Obama has done is about to get shafted too w/ a republican ran house and senate.

I say, it’s a shame that people who knew what a disaster Obama would be for the democrats got shafted with him – and the consequences anyway

Some get it

21. We Are Losing Because The Economy Sucks Not Because Of A Democratic Fifth Column

If McCain would have won the economy would still suck and it would have been the Republicans who got spanked. Let’s pray the economy improves by 2012.

Want to know how important a good economy is. Bill Clinton had a near seventy point approval rating at the peak of impeachment. Permalink

Some just watch

2. The circular firing squad isn’t scheduled until AFTER the election.

Do try to keep that in mind. Permalink

Some live it

52. I am already suffering

The HCR bill has resulted in my health insurance premium jumping
over 30%. It has never jumped that high ever in one year.

Lack of public option to compete with the private corporations has
done it for me. I am not voting for senator Murray in November. 52. I am already suffering

Result of the infights

I’m coming out… After years of posting here, I’m going to accept popular belief… I’m a troll.

…..I vote Democratic tickets. DON’T expect me to do it without holding my nose and complaining that my gay Daughter STILL cannot serve her country, just expect me to do it.

Try as you might, you will NEVER get me to STFU.

I thought that was what democracy was all about.

Facts get shot down

President Obama Throws Weight Behind Banks, Housing “Market” Over Borrowers

with stupid replies such as

1. And DU is against people trying to buy homes? Permalink

and

21. The Obama haters are out in force with the biggest stupid to date. Not all banks were rotten bastard Permalink

and again

Obama administration wants to work more closely with business leaders following midterm elections !

Lots of deleted comments but not this one

9. By your reasoning, Bush II was correct to listen only to those who voted for him. Permalink

But this one is the wowzer

Obama is taking the entire party on his skinny shoulders

It’s him against the GOP and their billions and billions of dollars. The rally today in Philadelphia made it very clear: He hardly mentioned the actual candidates names. He told these 18,500 people to go out and vote for HIM. And frankly, that is our only chance. And i’m going to do whatever i can to help this super courageous man.

with the others pouring it on

Dad is pulling the credit card:

Soros: I Can’t Stop a Republican ‘Avalanche’

Asked if the prospect of Republican control of one or both houses of Congress concerned him, he said: “It does, because I think they are pushing the wrong policies, but I’m not in a position to stop it. I don’t believe in standing in the way of an avalanche.”

Stupid comment

7. If DUers are not working their butts off why expect someone else to do it?

Clever comment – from another thread

17. What a hoot!
The replies to this news are pretty much all negative. The thread title is unkind to Soros. None of the comments are in his support. That may or may not be right, but that’s the fact.

So instead of kicking this to the greatest page, where it will be seen by all and in that process hold Soros up for more derision, it gets unreced, keeping it hidden.

Seems to me that if one is unhappy with Soros, one would be inclined to rec this, not unrec it.

Oh well, that’s why they make chocolate and vanilla. Different strokes for different folks.

Someone doesn’t get what the big deal is with stopping the COLA increases on Social Security – not quite getting what COLA means

If I find out my income is remaing the same, why would I be frantic about cutting back spending?

One sane reaction

5. Now Dems are excusing everything.
Anything goes now. I am in shock. Permalink
