It is Friday, Howdie DUdie time! (thanks Branjor)

Sanchez was right,  Jews DO OWN THE MEDIA after all

I think it’s time for Jon Stewart to leave Rick Sanchez alone

in a thread berrating Stewart for his Sanchez jokes one says

32. I think Sanchez is a moron, but at the same time,

the rapidity with which he was fired kind of backs up his point.

I mean, how long did it take Imus to get fired for making racist comments about black people? A very long time, and he had to attack young girls, too. I actually think Sanchez was correct in scoffing at the suggestion that Jews in the United States are an oppressed minority in the way that blacks or latinos are.

Another broken peomise

Obama’s promise to end tax cuts for rich unravels

brings these comments

7. Obama is the WEAKEST

Obama is the weakest president in the last 80 years. He gives a good speech, but he simply can’t get anything of substance accomplished. Nature abhors a vacuum so it will be interesting to see who steps in to fill the presidential power vacuum. Congress? The military? Wall Street?

and predictably

9. Your vacuum sucks.

So does your post.

And more hopey changey

President Obama open to lowering corporate tax rate

Mondale gets a thorough thumping for laying into TOTUS

Former Vice President Walter Mondale tells Obama it’s time to lose the teleprompters

Sample:

12. Obama – first black man to be elected President

Mondale – ran on tax hikes and was subsequently crushed in the general election in what was the worst electoral vote count in the history of Democratic presidential campaigns

Now who’s got more political accumen?

Hmmm…. Permalink

Here comes the disclaimers – “if only we had the power”

Did we ever have 60 Democratic Senators in the past 20 months……and if so, for how long?

Otherwise, that leaves us with 45 Senators that would probably vote for legislation more progressive
than what ended up passing.

and it’s summed up here

2. Yes, this needs to be pointed out over and over…..

The Democrats have hardly been “in charge” of anything since the Repubs have forced a 60 count vote through obstruction; only the majority to be able to elect the Speaker, and hold committee chair assignments. Permalink

with the funny upshot

8. Aren’t you really making the case that liberals can’t trust the Dem’s to deliver?

Isn’t that why so many people here are pissed off at the party and not just Obama? Permalink

And here’s how low the spirits over there: “I for one welcome the GOP overlords”

If the GOP does win the White House in 2012, who would you dislike the least as President?

Bloomberg, Ahrnolld get nods. Also Romney and Huckabee

More base flogging

Obama to Democrats: stop sulking

Some reason

1. When even Donna Brazille tells them to knock it off, you know Obama and

his co-horts have gone too far. Permalink

Some defend

32. The problem is you’ve been snowballed to believe this nonsense.

Every single time one of these, ‘Boohoo me I’m so offended’ threads pops up it turns out to be a half of a sentence completely pulled out of context.

Some figure it out

40. It makes sense if –

1. they are still trying to purge the remaining traditional democrats from their “base”
2. they want to lose.

Personally I think it’s a little of both. Permalink

Why Does The Dem Leadership Keep Scolding Their Base?
