The best part of the SNL sketch was the ending. In it, Obama is very seriously delivering an ultimatum: “and if I see any more of this hateful rhetoric  I’m going to have to take drastic action…then immediately changes manner, laughs and says – no,not really. ”

That was one part the CNN fact checkers missed too.

So, here’s my fact checking:

While everyone is holding their breath for Obama to make a decision on Afghanistan, Obama made clear that much: he won’t reduce the numbers of troops there. Score on this: “Present”

When it comes to taking actions over the last revelations from Iran – Obama offers – hesitation

As Obama’s healthcare gets vetted by the CBO, one reality emerges: the new healthcare system is not that different from the old one.

But as they embark on that project, they’re leaving most of our current health-care system virtually untouched, which means most of the systemic problems will remain unsolved.

Score on this: “Present”

In the NYC Mayoral election, Obama supports the GOP billionaire Bloomberg mostly by ignoring the Democrat

Aparently, only in the NY governor race is he working for his party – and doing that one by undermining the Democratic governor.

He could make a difference for Thompson, but instead, votes “Present”

I went to Google to search Obama voting present 130 times as a senator and all I found were explanations and excuses.

The past is being scrubbed even as you read this. And the present too.

But the illustration for this entry is an actual work of art hanging in the White House per a New York Times puff piece that bills this as “humor”

But the collection is also not without humor. Another contemporary work chosen by the Obamas is a word painting by the California artist Ed Ruscha. Called “I Think I’ll … ” it deals with the subject of indecision. The work depicts a brilliant red sunset against which Mr. Ruscha has painted phrases like “Maybe … Yes … ” and “Maybe … No … ” and “On Second Thought.”

Glad someone is having fun.
