Asks a poll in US News and World Report’s Washington Whispers as reported by Media Matters.
And no, the poll doesn’t offer the obvious fifth choice: “Why the hell would anyone ask this question?”
comments Media Matters. And, yes the results are in, and the bitch who dared oppose Obama in the General election isΒ asked by most to take her rightful place
But at least no one drew an offensive cartoon about any of these women, right? Oh, wait, they did…But no breastfeeding images – the world is safe!
Stay tuned for future polls on footwear and cooking.

Well, uh, let’s see…..
I’ll take Me-Chelle.
I mean, she doesn’t have a job, and her mom is taking care of her kids…. so she’s the one who actually has time to take care of mine.
WTF?

Bzzzzzt! Wrong! Me-Cheelle already picked the role of the wife – who only speaks when spoken to – and I don’t think that choice should ever be interfered with.

I am absolutely aghast to think that nearly 40% of the idiots that bothered to participate in this ridiculous poll would entrust their children to that horrid woman! Seriously, I cannot think of a more toxic environment than the one that would be created by the woman that cut off emergency hospital care for “her people” at the U of C Medical Center.
I am surprised that more went for Pelosi than Clinton, though. While Clinton herself might not come off as the nurturing type (although I think Chelsea might beg to differ), I would certainly trust a daycare she set up to be staffed with competent caregivers. I would expect Obama’s and Pelosi’s to be staffed with political payback positions held by greedy, corrupt politicians that were looking to do anything to make a few extra sheckels. It’s dumb-ass polls like this that show where America’s heads are really at. Whenever I think we might be making some progress educating the masses, something like this pops up and reminds me how many sheeple there are in this country.
Ultimately telling, though, is the fact that more than half trusted the woman that has publicly declared that she believes children should be cherished at all costs and be put above our own needs. She walks the walk, and people can believe in that no matter what the media says.

Oh, I doubt a vote for any of those women is meant as a compliment. It’s a “back where you belong, bitch” poll.

I agree.
And, if I had been able to bring myself to vote in this horrible poll…. I’d, in fact, have chosen Sarah as well.

Once again – I am a mother who cherished raising her kids. My guy – a teacher, had at one point extremely young students. I am not putting down day care in any shape an form.
Just reminding everyone – that what most of the women in this poll have in common is exceptional abilities and professional successes that put them in positions of power(Me-chelle being the exception). So, comparing their day care skills has nothing to do with their nurturing abilities or organization skills. It’s a big fat put down as Media Matters correctly observed.

Seeing this senseless “poll” and reading a really snarky Times article ridiculing Gwyenth Paltrow because she’s got the nerve to develop interests other than acting, I’m forced to conclude that you simply can’t be a powerful, successful woman without your every move criticized and mocked. And, yes, it’s feels a lot worse now than it did thirty or forty years ago.
We live in a toxic, TMZ culture and that’s almost as bad for ambitious women as is patriarchy and organized religion.

The actual poll question is so rife with misogynistic overtones, it’s impossible for me to begin to suss out the appalling subtext.
Would this question EVER be posed about male polticians? Or women without children, like Condalezza Rice?
grrrrrr.

Women without children are considered worthless, unfulfilled and not-quite grown up, and probably ***pssst*** gay. And we can’t be trusted around kids because we are not only ignorant, but could be driven hysterical by our ticking biological clocks and might steal them.
But we can be trusted with work outside the home because we don’t have anything better to do.

I always thought Pelosi was ultra wealthy and had help and don’t see the point there?
Also the dolls don’t look like them at all.

They are trying to ‘denote’ their important role in society and the media is helping out, which is very sad. When will we retire the patriarchy?

The info about Michelle cutting off patients has a new twist. Wrote about it a couple of days ago…
ER doctors have come out in formal protest late last week accusing the policy was really about dumping patients, not “efficiency”……that same “efficiency” quoted in the first articles out about Obama wanting to halve the deficit (late Saturday night, meeting is today….)

Sarah is pretty cool. She’s a lot more normal than the other ones – basically three biatches. Just my two cents but I’d send my kids to Sarah’s daycare in a heartbeat over the others.
