I had to give myself some time to cool off after reading this utterly vicious article by Robin Morgan

calling PUMAs “spalinists”:

You might have noticed a recent media burp—gassy, though blissfully short—about a handful of faux “feminists” backing the John McCain-Sarah Palin ticket. I won’t name these women out of concern that feeding their misplaced sense of self-importance may risk them bursting into shriveled balloon ribbons of overextended ego.

I will not wade through the acrimonious mess. I will highlight one Donna Brazile talking point from one of the approved comments:

I beg all of you who are hurt by the HRC loss but who feel you cannot place a vote for Obama to stay home on election day. Don’t place a vote. Let the rest of us do what is right.

Nice. Asking ANYONE to not vote is the worst thing against democracy I can imagine. You now have no standing to complain on any  tactics meant at “depressing turnout”. It’s not why the fight for women suffrage was waged – to tell those disagreeing with you to stay home, and only those who want to do “what’s right” can vote! Also, reality check: Hillary did NOT lose. It’s why I cannot legitimize your candidate in the first place

Frankly, if ideology were as important to you as you profess, you’d be supporting Cynthia MKinney. Since you totally ignore her, you reveal yourself as a shill. Confirming this:

2 confessions from B0 campaign have this in common

Palin has singlehanded solidified “soft” Republican support, mobilized the McCain ground game, and has even had some appeal to independents and Hillary voters. This is what our internal polling confirms.

the other one

Sarah Palin is a huge threat, and our campaign has feared her like you can’t imagine. If it seems unfair how she has been treated, well its because she has had a team working round the clock to make her look like a fool.

I will instead post my commentary – which is still awaiting moderation at the site – you may want to comment there as well

I know Kim Gandy decreed Sarah Palin wasn’t a woman. And here you are making acceptable this idea that without the right political convictions a woman can be beaten, raped, shot at, hang in effigy – because, frankly, she lacks the credentials to be a person in your book.
Hillary Clinton, Cynthia McKinney, Sarah Palin are not women enough for you. Why? For a candidate who says we have to exercise the right of choice “prayerfully” – with the help of our spiritual adviser. A candidate who says women get 3rd trimester abortions when they are feeling blue, of calls reporters “sweetie”

And yet, we’re supposed to be the laughable ones?
To be clear, since Hillary left this race, i don’t feel I have a candidate who represents my views. But I will fight for the right of any woman to run for office without being called a bitch, a cunt or being totally ignored.
And while I still am not sure which, make no mistake – I am going to vote for a woman (or two) for President. You can just iron Obama’s shirts while you feel superior to me.
