Politico reports the  spin from both sides about Joe vs Powell

Roy Blunt was right:

“I think Joe the plumber does matter here, not because he’s Joe or not because he’s a plumber but because of all that particular discussion represents,” Blunt said on CNN’s “Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer.”

House Republican Whip Roy Blunt of Missouri admitted he wished Powell would have endorsed McCain, but said that neither the endorsement nor Obama’s association with 1960s radical Bill Ayers will matter as much as Joe the plumber.

Our favorite unbiased, undeclared but not undecided superdelegate for Obama was also right

Democratic strategist Donna Brazile said on ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” that Powell’s endorsement of Obama should “erase any remaining doubts about his national security agenda [and] his experience.”

Right on, Donna!  Anyone who may have still be thinking that Obama is anti-war can now refer to this iconic image for

the truth: Obama will keep this war going like this equally opportunistic endorser.

He said he was reassured by the candidate’s response, which caused him to think that Mr. Obama might not differ all that much from Mr. McCain. Mr. Zebari said

So, in effect, both Joe and Collin inform us as to Obama’s agenda.

Joe the Plumber reveals the economic goals – or rather the ideological confusion of a man without any belief as much as the willingness to turn on voters, on the people if they inconvenience him.

..The only difference is that the media worships Powell and savages Joe. But that’s also revealing:

Start a war, praise their guy, you’re a hero. Question their guy – you’re public enemy #1.

So, do we vote for  their guy?

And what SYD noted brilliantly in the comments – the two are very revealing for the neo-progs real agenda:

they are willing to turn on working class Americans like Joe… and revel in the company of war criminals like Powell.

I am totally bewildered by what they…. groups like Move On or Kos… stand for at this point???

Yup. The guy who “made a speech” against the war is endorsed by the guy who held a test tube for it.

And  the working class is object of ridicule.

We have came full circle.
