That’s all I had to say.

Biden started to lose that silly grin, a vein on his head started talking. He started to sigh and sctatch his neck. She rocked!

I am hearing David Brooks no longer disses her and Andrew Sullivan is – at least momentarily impressed.(Tomorrow he’ll get new talking points, but today…)

I am hearing the MSM is trying hard to spin this into the opposite. I hope enough people watched this directly.

It’s amazing what the effect is when they don’t edit her remarks – thanks Gibson and Couric for this lesson in trickery! I can see what Palin meant by “unfiltered” access!

and linking a comment at the Confluence by audacity

which identifies 14 Biden lies

1. TAX VOTE: Biden said McCain voted “the exact same way” as Obama to increase taxes on Americans earning just $42,000, but McCain DID NOT VOTE THAT WAY.
2. AHMEDINIJAD MEETING: Joe Biden lied when he said that Barack Obama never said that he would sit down unconditionally with Mahmoud Ahmedinijad of Iran. Barack Obama did say specifically, and Joe Biden attacked him for it.

5. OPPOSING CLEAN COAL: Biden says he’s always been for clean coal, but he just told a voter that he is against clean coal and any new coal plants in America and has a record of voting against clean coal and coal in the U.S. Senate.

11. IRAQ: When Joe Biden lied when he said that John McCain was “dead wrong on Iraq”, because Joe Biden shared the same vote to authorize the war and differed on the surge strategy where they John McCain has been proven right.

And the occasional right comment in the media

ST. LOUIS — Sarah Palin was supposed to fall off the stage at her vice presidential debate Thursday evening. Instead, she ended up dominating it.

She not only kept Joe Biden on the defensive for much of the debate, she not only repeatedly attacked Barack Obama, but she looked like she was enjoying herself while doing it.

She smiled. She faced the camera. She was warm. She was human. Gosh and golly, she even dropped a bunch of g’s.

And a collection of reactions & highlights here with the most surprising one:

Governor Palin proved very adept at being a good debater. … In many ways, she was a better surrogate for her top of the ticket than Joe Biden was for his,” said Chuck Todd of NBC.

I am sure they’ll yank him back. Sullivam too retracted his “win” after only 2 hours.

But glad to see Pat Buchanan used my headline

MSNBC’s Pat Buchanan said Palin was not only “sensational,” but declared that she “not only met the expectations, I think she wiped up the floor with Joe Biden, quite frankly. She is personable, she is young, she’s got a sense of humor…I think that she has done a sensational job and I think she as recaptured that magic she had out there at the convention,”

I continue to loathe him while at times agreeing with him. Like right now.

Post-debate rally tells the real story

It has been reported that

Virginia Republicans are in an uproar after the state teacher’s union sent an e-mail to its members encouraging them to wear blue-colored shirts to school to show their support for Barack Obama.

State Republicans are calling it an undisguised attempt to influence students’ political views.

The Virginia Education Association sponsored “Obama Blue Day” on Tuesday. In an e-mail sent last week, it urged teachers to participate by dressing in blue.

“There are people out there not yet registered. You teach some of them,” the Sept. 25 e-mail reads. “Others, including our members, remain on the fence! Its time for us to come together, voice our unity, because we make a difference!”

“Let’s make Obama Blue Day a day of Action!” the e-mail continues. “Barack the vote!”

VEA president maintains that

The invitation was not intended to “encourage teachers to use their classrooms for partisan political purposes,” Boitnott said.

and it’s going on in NY as well:

The teachers union in New York has also come under fire for distributing thousands of Obama campaign buttons to its members, prompting a backlash from education officials and parents.

“Schools are not a place for politics and not a place for staff to wear political buttons,” New York Department of Education spokeswoman Ann Forte told

Yup. They are not.

also a protest at NYSE

NYSE Protest – “Bailout is BS – You Broke it – You Bought It”

This was the rally cry tonight at the base of the New York Stock Exchange.  These people were really pissed off and looked like they were staying the night.

As the story trickes up in the mainstream media, the roles are curiously reversed.

While it’s the McCain campaign being at a disadvantage being blindsided about  this

The McCain campaign found out about Ifill’s book in the last day or so, a spokesman said.

Hot air noted that this very impartial moderator

The host of PBS’ “Washington Week” and senior correspondent on “The NewsHour” said she did not tell the Commission on Presidential Debates about the book.

and nevertheless McCain graciously chose to not make it an issue

But here’s Ifill being victimized

Ifill questions why people assume that her book will be favorable toward Obama.

“Do you think they made the same assumptions about Lou Cannon (who is white) when he wrote his book about Reagan?” said Ifill, who is black. Asked if there were racial motives at play, she said, “I don’t know what it is. I find it curious.”

Oh, I dunno, Gwen. Maybe your whole attitude during this election? Like the way you reported on Palin speech?

“She belittled him”

Somehow, you feel that the inclusion of Powell in a book called “The Age of Obama”  makes it perfectly neutral…

But to me, having the title “the Age of Obama” for a book about someone who did nothing but run for office all his life is another clue

Lastly, you doth protest too much. No one actually said you were ‘for Obama”

What was said is that you have a financial interest in the outcome of this election, with a book about one of the candidates to be released on Inauguration Day. No matter who made the decision abut the release date.

And even if this was an anti-Obama book.

But I know, Gwen, I already confessed I was a racist so I got you covered.
