I know sometimes he gets mixed up.

“I was not aware that I had voted no,” he said that day in June 2002,
asking that the record be changed to reflect that he “intended to vote

He is going against his own record again by wanting a crack up on energy speculators

Someone have his handlers remind he voted for Cheney’s bill

Sen. Obama voted for the 2005 Energy Bill, written in secret by Vice President Cheney and the energy lobby. Thomas Friedman referred to the bill as “the sum of all lobbies.” U.S. PIRG noted that the bill’s “heavy tilt toward big oil companies reflects the influence of Exxon Mobil and other oil companies on policy-makers in Washington, DC.”

The Washington Post editorialized that the bill was a “piñata of perks for energy industries.” Indeed, the bill contained $6 billion in subsidies to the oil and gas industry and $12 billion to the nuclear power industry.

Anyway, B0, no need for posturing,, Congress was on this one anyway

As a result, Stupak introduced legislation with the support of two other Democratic Congressmen to close loopholes that allow oil to be traded electronically in unregulated oil markets. The bill would also regulate other methods that Stupak claims oil traders use to avoid federal oversight.

From my Stumbleupon collection:

…….And now for something different: with my absolute admiration for Mf Fish:

I think GOp-ers paid more into this empty suit – so, we’ll see…

From Politico

Insisting on a campaign promise that Obama would filibuster any wiretapping bill that included retroactive immunity for the telecommunications companies that let the government listen in, Obama’s allies at MoveOn are asking supporters to “call Sen. Obama today and tell him you’re counting on him to keep his word.”

Obama has said he’ll work in the Senate to strip that provision from the House bill, but stopped short of promising to filibuster the bill.

Gets interesting

It’s New York Post so, grain of salt and all that,, but i think they looked at the campaign documents:

It was said that B0’s foreign policy seems to be somewhere between Rodney King’s “Can’t we just get along?” and Alfred E. Neuman’s “What, me worry?”
