Bravo to the New Yorker! Did you see the Washington Post coverage of the Oakland crackdown? They apparently couldn’t find any photos of bleeding wounded protesters, so instead they ran a photo of a riot police office petting a cat! Titled the article “protesters wearing out their welcome.” Yes, indeed, wearing out their welcome for those depicted on the New Yorker!

I just hate to see law enforcement skewered here. They take their orders from local/state/federal officials….go after them!
Funny story, if you’re in the mood…..son was assigned to Obama’s Inauguration with a swat team from MIAMI. He was thrilled to be part of that, but his team was assigned to Union Station security. Code Pink was doing a “lay in” that day. Blocking passengers from leaving the train station to attend the HISTORIC event. Mostly minorities from the NE Amtrak, NoVa and Md train routes.
He not only had to help carry out their limp bodies, he was spit on, scratched, kicked and, yes, threatened with harrassment.
He missed the entire Presidential thing that day.
