this blog will participate in the first annual Draw Mohammed Day as founded by Dan Savage and apparently sponsored by CACAH
As explained before, I am not a fan of Parker/ Stone, so this is not so much in solidarity with them personally, as it is with freedom of expression against religion, fanaticism, terrorism. So, I’ll be breaking my crayons, markers and watercolors too on May 20.
My contribution to art will be nothing in value compared to watering down the pool of targets.
So, in that spirit: I call on all bloggers reading this – do your part and join in!
For once the expression “If you don’t do it, the terrorists win” is not a joke.

But….! I have to say that giving one tiny radical group (living in the USA) a big F U, hardly compares with say, using two dolls to mock Jesus Christ as a homosexual. Until he’s willing to skewer the fundamentals of the religion itself, & not just the crazies on the edges, then I’d say the Daily Show is STILL playing it safe.
And will the batshit crazy Christian evangelists puleaze shut the fuck up about it? We’ve already got one side waging a ‘holy war’ against humanity, the last thing we need is to have the Christian Right turn this shit into a ‘holy crusade.’ And you know thats exactly what those f*ckers have been trying to do since the ‘war on terror’ started.
