More and more headlines there remind me of the good ol’ days of the primaries the same mix of entitlement and panic – only now they are in the process of peeling of a new layer of disappointed former supporters as opposed to those who saw through Obama from the start
The ONLY message you will be sending by not voting is that Republicans have won.
Okay — Don’t vote if you disagree with some things Obama and the Democrats have done.
this one is a gimmick headline – the OP will label you a right winger if you do so
You agree that America is a Christian nation and laws should be adjusted to reflect this.
You agree that America is a white nation and laws should be adjusted to reflect this.
You agree that evolution is a myth and bible stories should be given equal or more emphasis.
You agree that helping the poor should not be an aspect of government. etc
This one is more direct
Even if you’re not pro-Obama, you still need to vote Democratic this year
Update
I think this one belongs here, in the “attack, gloat” mode:
If Obama went for Single Payer and failed,
and went for a 100% green energy plan and failed,
and reversed all the bailouts so that the economy crashed, the Big 3 failed, and millions more people lost jobs…
Would he get your vote? Would that be considered success?
The argument could almost make sense had Obama not be quoted back in June 2009 as saying that
The goal of the Obama White House is to come up with a health-care plan that can attract bipartisan support. The president has told visitors that he would rather have 70 votes in the Senate for a bill that gives him 85 percent of what he wants rather than a 100 percent satisfactory bill that passes 52 to 48.
In other words, he failed by design to get single payer, public option, 100% green energy plan etc.
Or, he really doesn’t want 100% of what you think he wants..

The Democrats may not count my vote, but the GOP will, and because it’s the second time I vote GOP, it will be easier.

Some Democrats in exile who voted for McCain did it so their vote would count twice. Not voting was one vote against B0, but voting McCain was counted as two votes against B0. I did vote for McCain, only because they were calling my state a swing state. I really thought my vote would count.
I wanted to quit voting, but it’s an election year for my city council and mayor. They suck. I can’t tell you who is running against them, whoever they are, they can count on my vote.
Sure, I’ll vote. I can’t say it’ll be for the Ds.

I won’t vote for Obama, but I can’t vote GOP either, so I’m hoping there’s a third choice that’s half-way decent, if not, then the top spot stays unchecked.
If it was anybody else, we’d already have a Dem challenger warming up, but that’s not ever going to happen with the O.

I won’t vote “D” nor “R”. Depending on the particular candidate, I might vote Green – or if that’s not worthy, I’ll just write someone in. I doubt my congresswoman even has any opposition, so I’ll have to get creative. I may pick a name such as “Single payer” or “choice rights” or “ERA”.

Just when I thought that I was past astonishment at Obot pronouncements I must say this is stunning (and brings back unfond memories of Guiliani)
From your DU link:
9. I don’t know about banned…
…but if tempers haven’t settled by November then perhaps delaying elections until the vitriol has calmed down might be worth considering.
It would be hard for the GOP to say no since their own Nixon proposed such an idea.
I hope it’s a joke but I don’t think so.

Reminds me when I thought it was a joke when someone proposed in January 2008 that all non-Obama supporters be banned from the site. I asked and was told it was serious. This would be the logical extension of that.

As we used to say in the army, “Fuck ‘em if they can’t take a joke.”
