Yes, watching the “review of the guard” live, I was appalled by the way Obama seemed to race ahead of his host !
And – totally besides the point – but what’s up with his jacket? On tv it looked like it was dirty, but in the WaPo picture it looks more like it’s made from two different materials? Anyone knows?

He probably was. He does like dress up and other power trappings AF 1, secret service etc). He wore a bomber jacket for the photo op. I am sure they told him Karzai had to wear that only because he is bold.
