New York Times has a photo of the ball to drop at midnight and a 9.11 headline next to it

while NY Post has a different ball dropping in Times Square a legitimate news story for a change

NY Newsday made Pete King a cover boy at last!

.When the papers get outside, I’ll try to get a shot of those Post page ones voted best of the decade. I wonder if naked Giuliani in a barrel “Brother can you spare a dime” is there.
Here’s the link to those covers – none of my memorable ones but the picks confirm my ideas about the NY Post readers

Nice to see they’ve abandoned cookie cutter news for a change. The NYT photo is interesting – might make some dizzy.
I hear that the Times Square crowd has to stay put; no bathroom breaks.

I used to live about an hour & a half away, and Times Square on New Year’s Eve never tempted me at all, not even once lol. My sons might have gone. Hmmn, I’m just getting a fuzzy memory, but I think at least one of them did.
I didn’t think it was worth the aggravation, but maybe I was wrong?
Today, I’m busy searching for some good “end of year lists”, I love em’!

True dat. I spent there one New Year’s Eve – last time – for this very reason. You want to go to the bathroom, you lose your spot. I mean, for tens of blocks away spot.

The remedy:
Eat lots of salt and skip the diuretics for a day. So what if you start the New Year kinda puffy and wheezy?

Edge, I don’t post often, but read every day. Just wanted to wish you a very Happy New Year, and thank you for your efforts in keeping a record of what happened in addition to keeping everyone up to date.
A heckuva job Edge, thank you. Again, Happy New Year! and may there be many, many more!
