While O plays Abe with food, we commoners sweat it out.

You can’t keep putting lipstick on the pig. Obama’s so incompetent that it’s reached the point where the media can’t hide it anymore.
He’s such a little strange man, you can actually see him struggling to find the “right” face to wear for each new crisis. Nothing’s changed from the primaries; just look at the State Dept. When you compare him to Hillary, who’s a natural, you can see how inauthentic the guy is.

I’m always scrambling for the right word to express just how insincere I find Obama. It’s like he’s always acting – and doing a deplorable job of it. I like your “inauthentic” very much!

And of course, all we hear about is how the current security procedures were ‘inherited’ from the previous administration. Didn’t he also inherit the privilege of leadership?
I still hold Dubbya single handedly responsible for fast-forwarding the decline of the USA, which includes having made this assclown look a viable successor.
Nevertheless, “The Changeling” is the POTUS now, and whining about his ‘inheritance’ is only proving what we knew all along: Hillary Clinton should have been President. After all, she had the skills, experience and backbone. and the votes…

Anthony,
I agree, the Best Candidate for POTUS just happened to be a woman; Hillary R. Clinton. She would have stepped up and addressed the nation ASAP and would have noted all the changes she had made and the others under review and additional measures being considered to keep Americans and Visitors safe.

But she is loyal to Obama and will not undercut him as far as I can tell.

I sometimes wonder if people realize just how close to Obama, Hillary Clinton actually is? And I mean literally!
Over and over I find pictures on the net that shows her sitting right next to him at negotiations or meetings etc., while the official photos have been cropped, so as to leave her out of the picture.
BTW did you know, that she actually represented your country as Head of State, when the Danish queen invited Heads-of-States only to a banquet during the COP15? I enjoyed seeing that very much.

No matter how close Hillary may get to POTUS, he’s the one making the decisions. May God help us all.

My remark about Hillary Clinton’s proximity to Obama was in no way ment to incriminate her, as I now realize it could be read. On the contrary!
I’m relieved to know there is at least one grown up by his side!
I imagine that her being there prevents him, to some degree, from making too many boneheaded decisions. I also believe, that this is the very reason for the media to literally cut her out of the picture.

How bad does it have to get before people are convinced that he is unqualified and callow? I still worry that any perceived “success” at all will give him another four years. We’ve seen how gullible the public can be, and the GOP is not offering any reasonable alternatives. What a mess.

Obama is polling at 43% in the West, so all the broken promises are being noticed.

Excellent news, but then you get shit like this:
Americans most admire Obama
Though the president’s job-approval rating has eroded during his first year in office, his standing as the most-admired man demonstrates “a very strong fan base,” says Frank Newport, Gallup’s editor in chief. The only past presidents to score higher were George W. Bush in 2001, in the aftermath of the Sept. 11 attacks, and John Kennedy in 1961.
Hillary ties with S. Palin as the most admired woman, with oops, Michelle coming in 4th, BEHIND Oprah. ROFL!

CJ- Are they kidding???? His “base” (if you can call it that) is down to 25% (6 points lower than Dubbya, which goes to show that Fundies are smarter than Obots)
Today’s approval index is -16 (thats a minus sign, not a dash to catch your breath before you applaud)

It’s actually hard to decide whether to laugh or cry (lolsob?) when reading Obama’s daily job approval at Gallup. They are so very reluctant – as if they were to enter the cold shower! – to let his approval number slide below 50%.
When finally they let him dip, ever so briefly, I think it was mostly due to some criticism of their polling methods elsewhere.

I know, it scares me too. For some bizarre reason that I still can’t figure out, too many people want to like this guy too much. No matter how much he disappoints, after a little positive hype from the media, all is forgiven. I don’t know what it will take to make him unelectable in 2012?

Obama has lots of broken promises but the mantra of “you want Palin”? seems to appease many.

I’d go for it, if I were them. At least she has some experience balancing a budget as well as executive experience.

Well we knew that 0 would behave in this way. Supposedly he is trying to decide to use the full-body scanners — I’m betting that he’ll say yes.
Which is so stupid — spending money on that public display means that it won’t be spent where it would do the most good.
Use full body scanners and I will NOT fly. Because to me that makes everyone less secure — and the bad guys will take another route — and the security agencies can’t adjust — they are too rigid as it is.
All the intrusive “security” methods do is make people “feel” safer — but they aren’t. If the “security” is that in your face — then in the secret dark places where the watching of the bad guys take place — this stuff may not be funded.
The Worst choice of all the candidates stole the job.
We could have had the best — and the Democrat party told us to go to hell.

The body scanners are a devise that will be visible (no pun intended)-to the public-they are something that the public can see and therefore my guess is that Obama will say yes to them. He wants–and now needs for the world to see that he is hard on terror.
