Edge, you are priceless, a pearl beyond price.
Insofar as the tabloids, they have to sell or giveaway papers, and it appears that these days only three things matter – voyeurism, corruption of others, and terrorism. Doesn’t matter about investigation, truth, or good journalism at all.
Whether this man was a terrorist, or an inept wannbe will be determined. But by that time – ohmygosh, Lindsay has broken up with whomever, Brittany has done whatever,Brangelina has six more kids, Jennifer is pregnant, not pregnant, in love, not in love – and the best – some sisters named Kardashian (who are they – I only read tabloids in the supermarket line) will have had kids, not had kids, had love affairs, broken up. This mascarades as news these days because the mainstream newpapers aren’t much better.
I want to thank you for being a much needed breath of fresh air in posting this stuff. At the same time, I wonder – as a civilization that mostly functions below the 1% wealth holders (who are, of course above the fray), have the rest of us really sunk this low?

Very convenient distraction, I’d say.
I’ve got my tinfoil hat at hand-
but the media is going to give lots of coverage to this,
frighten loads of travelers, and sweep the health care
debacle right under the rug.

Preface: Having spent 3 days at family branch which ignores TV, the sparse info available there indicates that potus was fed running briefs (double entendre intended) on the situation, and I interpreted that to mean others were running the show, and that was fine with him. No doubt, as you suggest, his Believers have replaced the hc blah blah with ‘patriotic concern’ and regard the ‘immediate’ change of airport procedures as another example of his strong leadership.
The more discerning of us understand that his reaction was just another present vote, and wonder how the procedural changes could be made immediately.
