Here’s one for New Yorkers to remember this fall when the mayoral elections come:
Bloomberg: Obama’s Basically On a Fixed Income
The Mayor who bought his job, twice – spending $100 per voter the second tie around, is defending the one billion dollars candidate’s extravagant expenses
Bloomberg defended the First Couple’s getaway, telling reporters, “The president does not get paid that much. He is on a budget, too.”.
Comments the Gothamist
Well, from Bloomberg’s rarefied view atop Mount Moneypiles, we probably all look like Dickensian waifs struggling to sell our hair to the wig maker for halfpence, but to the average American, Obama’s hardly “on a budget.”
Of course, we are talking about the Mayor who, in his first debate in 2001 stood by his statements that asthma in poor neighborhoods is due to poor hygiene. As for the poor Obamas, getting the green light from Mike to live it up, the Gothamist gives us a glimpse at his “fixed budget” too:
City Room breaks down Obama’s current income: $400,000 a year salary, a $50,000 expense account, a $100,000 nontaxable travel account and a $19,000 entertainment budget. His total compensation package, $569,000 a year, is 11 times the median household income in the U.S., which is around $50,000
Maybe Bloomberg – who threatened to run as a third party candidate if the Democrats fail to nominate Obama, should pay this puny fixed income out of his own vast resources. This way the commoners will not feel entitled to demand accountability on their tax money. During a recession.

If I cut out a few luxuries I could probably survive on that amount.
But I’m single and my kids are grown and gone.

You mean like the FREE FOOD, FREE HOUSING, FREE TRANSPORT, FREE ASSISTANTS…ect…FREE PARTIES FOR ALL YOUR FRIENDS and FREE STUFF (tickets and invites).
That will pretty much leave the over half a million intact and BLOOMBERG forgot his MILLIONS from all his BOOKS…
Sheesh, I guess the working folks with no health care should start to cry and send him two bucks a month to help out. How about Oprah with her jet she should be good for two bucks.

Wonder how Bloomberg is making money when others aren’t and if he is feeling sorry for MILLIONAIRES, well, that isn’t someone I would vote for.

Poor my ass:
I guess he was trying to cover up for Obama’s use of public funds to pay for the NBC propaganda piece about how wonderful the dear leader is, and that he can take a break to take his wife out on a “date night” in NYC. I say let GE pay for it. It’s their tv show…

For a guy (PBO) who’s never worked a day in his life, I’d say he’s doing pretty good…heh. I doubt he even wrote those books either.

Who has time to *work?* The man’s gotta campaign, ya know. 2012 is creeping up and…. Sarah Palin isn’t pulling her weight…
Listen to what Anchorage Daily Pravda reported about Mark Begich’s, liberal Democrat and newly elected Senator for Alaska, revelation to Alaskans yesterday:
“Begich told the audience President Barack Obama’s administration is **frustrated** at the lack of progress on the Alaska natural gas pipeline project. Instead of treating it as a state project, Begich wants Obama to elevate the line to the national energy agenda.
“We’re just frustrated that Alaska has not moved forward with regard to the gas line — it’s an important part of our national energy policy,” Begich said. “The president has clearly indicated it’s one of the top five projects he wants to move forward on.”
Hahahahahahaaaaaa… will these jackasses ever get over themselves?
