I wish the press was this eager to pursue stories with actual substance, rather than another stupid photo op with the president playing “oh I’m cool I’m hip” pretending to be a basketball player.
The idea of a presidential propoganda channel is appalling. Not even Bush went that far, and he would have been properly derided if he had. I’m sure Obama’s defenders are touting this as a wonderful means for him to communicate with the people.
Back to photo ops – Personally, I’d like to see Obama do a few shifts on the ice with the next Stanley Cup champs. Love to see him withstand a few clean checks into the boards. Be surprised if he can stand up on skates.

I actually took the time to look at the video…at least this team seems to be composed of a lot of hardworking, generous young women who deserve kudos! However, wouldn’t those kudos be worth more in the “open press” instead of their achievements being exploited beyond the NORMAL levels of exploitation these White House events always seem to generate?
They deserve better than to have their story limited to the WHITE HOUSE CHANNEL production team!
