A while ago we were wondering how will Obama handle the Rove situation.
And so far, he gave Donna’s buddy a reprieve
Conyers, the House Judiciary Committee chairman, agreed on Friday to postpone the deadline on the Rove subpoena for three weeks, giving the Obama administration time to decide how it wants to handle the issue of executive privilege and congressional subpoenas.
Did anyone say “not ready on day one”? Yup. Obama did:
Obama and his legal advisors have rejected that view as an overbroad reading of the president’s authority, but they have yet to fully formulate their own response to the question.

Obama and his advisors didn’t know that this question would come up? How un-presient of them.
Karl Rove has been the left’s bogeyman every since they didn’t have Tom Delay to obsess about 24/7. Any smart pol would have known the left would want to get him.
Rove and Delay both need to be brought to account for their criminal activities as do Bush and Cheney. Unfortunately Nasty Nancy took any accountability for Bush and Cheney off the table from the gitgo.
Now I would bet that the Obama Administration, uness really forced by public outcry, lets Karl off the hook.
They are not about accountability. Just look at Geithner and Daschle and their tax “problems”. They don’t want to start something that will come back to bite them in the ass if they start a “gotcha” war. IMHO

So, they’re still at it! Pelosi sat on this all fall because she didn’t want to “spoil” the election season…So, what’s Obama’s excuse now??
Remember, Gov. Seigelman of Alabama was caught up in Rove’s scheme…and begged House Democrats while at the Convention to get Rove to testify (and described “why things don’t work in D.C.” very well…_. The poor man been out on bail…
And David Iglesias, the attorney who from here in NM who laid out what had happened in the attoneys’ firing scandal will now be prosecuting detainees…
Here’s more background, including Siegelman’s plea here (from Sept. 10, 2008):
Another Reason to be a “Disaffected Democrat”: Pelosi Letting KARL ROVE off the Hook as Time Runs Out on This Congressional Session (Add This to “Impeachment off the Table”)

The post cited as the quote on why Democrats are so lame, in Seigelman’s words….and a link to the “Free Don Seigelman” site with video

I HATE it when I’m right about this sh*t.
If you want to be REALLY depressed, check out Arthur Silber’s latest. Warrantless wiretapping and Bush’s ludicrous interpretation of executive privilege will continue under Obama.
I think I’m moving to Iceland. At least THEIR crappy government had the decency to resign and start over – with a gay woman at the helm, no less.

Well, with PBO’s pay-for-play-for pay stimulus package, the worst vetted cabinet picks in history and the official white house website being turned into his 2012 campaign site……..whew…….nothing shocks me anymore.
Rove is so much smarter than Obama, he has nothing to worry about

Does anyone really think anything bad can happen to Donna’s mentor? Under her golden boy?
I won’t hold my breath for this subpoena. Any more than I’ll hold it for Junior’s war crimes trial.

Rove put him where he is right now, so Obama’s not about to do anything to him.

The two similarities I see between the national leaders of the R’s and D’s is their greed and their shared efforts to support and protect Karl Rove.

We need a list of what is quickly becoming BO’s trademark: the empty, meaningless but very stagey gesture. I think of it as the Greek Column Maneuver.

What is this all about? Anyone know, if this is being implemented?
