I am having fun on the sidelines
as a neutral observer – OK, I guess Obama would be right – if there were not for the all hypocrisy , considering who financed him and his 170 million inauguration. I just thought this was fun.
Ny Post as usual, is Obama’s bullhorn

while little free newspaper Metro dares to give the Wall Street side of things

and this is the article and the anonymous quotes:
“What I want to see is every congressman and every senator take a pay cut,” said Keith, a 39-year-old trader from Hoboken, who declined to give his last name.
Funny, he didn’t dare say “POTUS”
Someone else considered stockbrokers “the working man”
“[Obama] has to sit down and understand the compensation structure of low- to middle-management Wall Street. … A bonus is 20 to 50 percent of a person’s annual salary,” she said. “If you want to stimulate the economy, you can’t take the legs out of the working man.”
Again, it’s a stretch. But then I remember that bit of recent history
180,000 power brokers that have funded nearly 60% of his campaign. In all the Obama campaign has accepted more than $25 million in contributions from the “disclosed” employees of financial services, insurance, and real estate firms,
by a candidate who rejected public financing
.So, maybe those little stockbtokers weren’t all that wrong. Maybe they get shamed while the big boys – the ones who own the banks et all, get the bailouts anyway.
More thoughts on this circus from Riverdaughter
Well, that’s telling them. They will get a sternly worded letter saying, “Don’t do it again or Congress will have to regulate you.” I’ll bet that put the fear of Gawd into them. The bankers are going to have to court some more Blue Dog Democrats to make sure that doesn’t happen.

I have no problem with bonuses provided 2 things:
1) They were not given by any firm receiving bailout buxx
2) They were not given to upper management (ie: CEO, CIO, CFO, anyone on the Board, any Vice Presidents) but only to people whose work actually produced a profit.
Is what Obama is saying right? Yes. Does he mean it or believe it? Not a chance. These people got him selected. He’s only pretending to bite the hand that fed him. He only bites the people who supported him but gave him less than $500,000 from what I’ve seen.

The NY Post is cheering on Obama? What does that tell you?
That’s the paper I won’t buy because it’s a conservative rag. (Hmm, I don’t buy the Times either because it’s just, well, a rag.)

I think its a distraction so NO ONE looks and sees the PAYOLA being given to ACORN (4.2 Billion), Moveon.org org and the PORKERS as usual in the bailout. Its a smoke screen…Look over there, its ‘Obama Superman FeMANist’, fighting indulgences by Wall Street, mean while the Treasury is printing money.
Soon INFLATION will be upon us and a loaf of bread will cost twenty dollars. Have you all noticed that gas went down, but the price of milk is still 5 dollars or more? Yup, once the price goes up it stays up. They said it was due to fuel costs, but Milk isn’t 3 dollars…greed!

Just remember these words: President Re-Election. That is his motive for doing absolutely everything.

Oh good grief, a stern warning to the sharks on Wall street. Ain’t that just….special.
They beg for money to save them, then turn around and give bonuses? I just don’t understand this new attitude. In my career, a bonus was only given if one produced something significant. Forgive me, but if these firms had to apply for government welfare (let’s call it what it truly is) then how is that producing something significant? They’ve failed, and their way of acknowledging this failure is to go on welfare and give presents to those who contributed to this mess? I’m starting to feel that I’ve been chasing that white rabbit and have fallen into the rabbit hole.

I didn’t read the whole thing, but I saw a headline on CNN that McGaskill is saying no one who receives stimulus money should earn more than Obama. WTF????

Is MicHELLe going to insist on a paying position as flotus? She received big bucks when O was just a senator, so I’m sure she feels more important now.
