Biden’s gaffe (way bigger than known) gets discussed by Politico pundits – which, like in polls samples and other media commentary are 79% Obama supporters
William Easterly, NYU professor of Economics
Definition of a gaffe – when a politician accidentally tells the truth. “Not apparent that we will be right”? Of course, we hardly EVER know whether we have got it right until we see the results long afterward. It’s just not good politics to be so candid and humble.
But, professor: “gird your loins?” And whomever accused Biden of being “humble”?
Maurice Caroll of Quinnipiac
One of the delights in dealing with Sen. Biden is that he’s a stream-of-consciousness talker.
Always reassuring to see our pollsters are so unbiased. And that Biden’s stream of consciousness is so populated with nightmares
Diane Ravich from Brookins steps away from the pack of cheerleaders
The next part, however, when Biden called on the community to stand by the new President Obama, because “it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right,” was the scary part. Does this mean that he and Obama plan to capitulate to threats or terrorism and that they hope “the community” will “stand with him,” even though their response won’t seem to be the right one? Does this mean that they foresee a showdown between Israel and Iran and the U.S. will remain neutral? Reduce…
What did he mean? Why is he calling on “the community” to stand fast despite appearances? What surprises are in store for us?
This was not at all reassuring, coming from the Obama team’s foreign policy expert.
Mind you, this was the part of the statement that was not publicized.
Ron Bonjean, GOP strategist gets closer
Having a vice presidential candidate cause a another high profile gaffe is one thing. Throwing bait into the news media for terrorists is irresponsible and alarming. What is scary is that Biden knows that Obama will not be able to handle crisis and is already asking for help to shore up this obvious weakness.
So there. I skipped Kerry and other pom-pom girls who didn’t even touch the topic at hand.
And I will add Kristen Powers from the New York Post as she makes more sense than all Politico’s gaggle:
Biden is teling us that, at a time when Americans need to feel confidence in their government, they will be going “Oh my God.” Not a great message.
Not a great message???? That’s it?
This is also an understatement though, as she is caught in the media bias topic.
I wish the media stops looking in the mirror for a moment and just reports what was said – entirely (which Kristen finally did). And let us conclude what Biden said:
You will rue the day you voted Obama

What will it take for America to finally see how dangerous this madman is?
Newsflash Senator Obama: The rest of the world doesn’t give a rat’s ass about your need to be adored! They will defeat us given half a chance, and you’re announcing in advance that you’re gonna do the wrong thing???!!!!??
