McCain says he will stop campaigning after addressing Bill Clinton’s Global Initiative session tomorrow and return to Washington to focus on the nation’s financial problems.
he said
“I do not believe that the plan on the table will pass as it currently stands, and we are running out of time.” McCain said if Congress does not pass legislation to address the crisis, credit will dry up, people will no longer be able to buy homes, life savings will be at stake, and businesses will not have enough money.
Obama? Still waiting.

Again, may Obama get only the votes of those they deem worthy of their candidate. And may only those votes be counted too.

You are soooooo wrong on this! It is McCain who is totally out of touch with the voters. He has NOTHING to do with the crafting of this bill – the leaders told him he will not be useful hanging around Washington (maybe because he never went to vote on anything before…he has the worst voting record of anyone in the senate – and yes, I know that Obama, Hillary, Dodd and Biden are next on the no show list, but that goes to show you that campaigning takes you away from the hill).
Obama is 100% correct – we want to hear a debate, now of all times. McCain can call in or text message (oh, I forgot, he can’t do keyboards!) for information – he is only there to vote and Obama agreed to go to Washington to cast the actual vote when it comes up. McCain is NOT demonstrating leadership at all – he is running scared.

Sharon said “It is McCain who is totally out of touch with the voters.”
Hey Sharon – if that’s so, why did McCain listen to women voters who said they wanted equal representation, while Obama threw crap in our faces? Why did McCain call for reform of Wall St, Fannie & Freddie in 2006 while Obama was busy worrying about Kenya?
Leadership is stepping in to a situation where a crappy bill is being crammed through Congress in a hurry that will cost the American taxpayers billions, and trying to get a bill that makes sense put up for a vote. Not making a blanket statement that the current economic crisis is going to mean I have to abandon all the policies that ever made anyone vote for me while I run off and give billions to all my rich buddies.

Sharon, is that your real name. You don’t seem like a “Sharon”, more of a “Steve”. On a more solid note, Obama is not always correct .(57 states, my muslim faith, uh,uh,uh, not the Rev.Wright I knew after I could no more…, Ky closer to Arkansas than Ill., and on, and on) He is also wrong to have terrorist and criminal friends, to copy Hillary after he threw her under the bus, to pick a Drunk as Vp, to go to Pakistan at a time when no one was supposed to, to claim he is black when he is more white than arab/black. He also will destroy the US. Go away or I will start on Michelle.

Have a little faith in Johnny Mac…. the Obummer camp is throw off their game again, and they just hate it when everything isn’t scripted, right down to his bowel movements.
Just when Barry thinks he’s going to have the debate of his dreams with himself, McCain will ride in and bury the moron.

Angrynana- good for you. I couldn’t have said it better myself.
The so called leader who told McCain to stay away is Barney Frank. Leader? Since when? He didn’t want McCain to interfere in his plans to load the bill up like a Christmas tree. He knew McCain would bring a sensible voice to the mix, and he, Dodd, Kerry and the rest of the Obama followers would be halted in their tracks.
Afraid to debate Obama? John McCain will chew him up and spit him out. He’s been trying to get Obama into a town-hall meeting with him since June and Obama won’t agree. Who’s afraid of whom? Biggest joke I ever heard.
