After her debut in Dayton and a rush of media coverage, a new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey finds that 53% now have a favorable opinion of Palin while just 26% offer a less flattering assessment.
Palin earns positive reviews from 78% of Republicans, 26% of Democratsand 63% of unaffiliated voters. Obviously, these numbers will be subject to change as voters learn more about her in the coming weeks. Among all voters, 29% have a Very Favorable opinion of Palin while 9% hold a Very Unfavorable view.
By way of comparison, on the day he was selected as Barack Obama’s running mate, Delaware Senator Joseph Biden was viewed favorably by 43% of voters.

Women will be watching very closely this time around. I hope they stick together in defense of Palin, unlike the horror show that surrounded Hillary Clinton.

If Obama-Media thinks that they can start attacking another woman, they will no longer have the excuse “But it’s Hillary”…
It’s already begun, and Hillary plus Palin both getting sexist / misogynistic treatment will show our country that…WE LIVE IN A SEXIST country! Like we didn’t already know.
The more Obama-Media personally attacks Palin, the more women will wake up to defend her, and VOTE for her.
I have a lot of respect for McCain for choosing Governor Palin. It proves that he has enough faith in a woman (in America, as well) to put her on the ticket.
I think it took a lot of guts. I’ve softened to McCain after this pick. I even feel thankful.

Anyway, brilliant chess move by John McCain. With this one VP pick he solidified my resolve to vote for him in protest of the misogynist campaign Obama ran, aided by the MSM, AND brought my born again conservative sister enthusiastically on board. How did McCain/Palin manage to unite a moderate atheist and a born again Christian conservative? Well, we share the same detestation of Obama and the campaign he’s run. My sister said even Republicans were shocked at the treatment Hillary received and as I recall, McCain was one of the few who spoke out against it. I don’t think Palin or McCain will take much guff off of Obama though.
