First the title

Hillary the wide-eyed shrew drives the Pumas to McCain

It keeps hot and cold like this througout. So, I’ll pick what i like

Astonishingly, Hillary went on to identify herself, in her speech last week, with the runaway slave Harriet Tubman. It was Hillary, it seemed, who owned the legacy of Martin Luther King, rather than Obama.

Delivered in a mesmerising low shout, Hillary quoted Tubman: ” If you hear the dogs, keep going. If you see the torches in the woods, keep going. If they’re shouting after you, keep going.” The travelling sisterhood of pantsuits burned with historical grievance and love for Hillary.

and then we get a nod

Barack Obama did not change, but Hillary did, and women will stick with her now for better, or more likely, for worse. The diehards are called Pumas – Party Unity My Ass. The sisterhood of travelling pantsuits is joining forces across the world.

For once the Taming of the Shrew is used well:

Michelle Obama gave a graceful speech last week, but was made to look like an insipid Bianca alongside Hillary’s Katherine, the untamed shrew. The torch passing from mother to daughter is a civil-rights gesture, not Michelle’s kindly maternal token.

and then it drives to what matters

As Hillary the avenger said earlier: “It would break my heart if, in falling short of my goal, I in anyway discouraged any of you from pursuing yours …”

While the female audience in Denver wiped away tears of regret for Hillary’s untimely exit, her cry for feminist achievement was heard in the camp of John McCain. And it is McCain who, in making Sarah Palin his running mate, has given a woman a chance. Who will the Pumas vote for now?

Update

Rasmussen tracking today(August 31) confirms that the Convention bounce is gone

daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday—the day before the Republican National Convention is scheduled to begin—shows Barack Obama ahead of John McCain by three percentage points both with and without leaners. That’s exactly the same edge Obama enjoyed a week ago on the eve of the Democratic National Convention.

Original post

Seems the Palin pick stopped B0′s bump from the convention

has possibly stunted any Obama convention bump, the latest Zogby Interactive flash poll of the race shows.

The latest nationwide survey, begun Friday afternoon after the McCain announcement of Palin as running mate and completed mid-afternoon today, shows McCain/Palin at 47%, compared to 45% support for Obama/Biden.

Palin dramatically increased mcCain’s support

The interactive online Zogby survey shows that both Obama and McCain have solidified the support among their own parties – Obama won 86% support of Democrats and McCain 89% of Republicans in a two-way head-to-head poll question not including the running mates. When Biden and Palin are added to the mix, Obama’s Democratic support remains at 86%, while McCain’s increases to 92%.

And we get a little nod

The interactive survey shows that 22% of those voters who supported Democrat Hillary Clinton in their primary elections or caucus earlier this year are now supporting John McCain.

“A very important demographic in this election is going to be the politically independent woman, 15% of whom in our latest survey are undecided.”

Update September 21

Bill Maher is still going with this

a video from his show with Toobin – where he justifies his insistence ‘these people are liars” – therefore nothing they say can be accepted

Gee, Bill, i remember when you were doing a number on Al Gore in 2000 – of course he didn’t have the experience or the credibility of the one you push on us now….

Update September 5

Vanity Fair is still clinging to the ol’ conspiracy theory

Update 4 September 2 Rather than apologize, the slanderers crow over Bristol’s pregnancy. Not so fast

Update 3 Obama distances himself – DU still has it on “GREATEST” page

Update 2: Kos finally retracts

A poll attached to the retraction asks: “Is this helping?” or “should I delete this?”

Also Palin made a statement about her daughter

ST. PAUL (Reuters) – The 17-year-old daughter of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is pregnant, Palin said on Monday in an announcement intended to knock down rumors by liberal bloggers that Palin faked her own pregnancy to cover up for her child.

Update of September 1st

More direct debunking

They landed in Anchorage around 10:30 p.m. Thursday and an hour later were at the Mat-Su Regional Medical Center in Wasilla.

Baldwin-Johnson said she had to induce labor, and the baby didn’t come until 6:30 a.m. Friday.

“It was smooth. It was relatively easy,” Palin said. “In fact it was the easiest of all,” probably because Trig was small, at 6 pounds, 2 ounces.

As it was to be expected, the whole shoddy concoction was easily debunked

Apparently one of the photos they were using to prove Sarah Palin wasn’t pregnant was…from 2006

Baby Trig Palin, a Downs Syndrome baby, was born on April 18, 2008.

No matter how you do the math, there is no way a girl can be pregnant from 2006 to April of 2008.

The mob at Kos was outvoted by reality. Seems “facts” no longer have a liberal bias….

Not to be deterred by reality a forum that shall not be named has THIs on it’s “best of” page:

ORIGINAL ENTRY

I hesitated whether to blog this – as on one hand I didn’t want to give this publicity, on the other it’s catching them in flagrante delicto. I think this does wonder for their credibility

Here’s a Kos denizen about to concoct a story about Sarah Palin (should the blog at the link disappear, let me know, I have screen caps. From the very context of the post – see the stricken through ‘evidence”

it is obvious that there is no evidence hatsoever to start such a story. yet the poster is loking for consensus through a poll from other bobots whether to start it anyway.

For a while – the non-story was linked at memeorandum – they eventually  knew better and removed it.

So, here’s journalism by mob rule at its best:

Okay, 11 comments in and already some people are crying out to delete this.  So I’m adding a poll:

Should we go after this story?

Seems the Kos denizens want to make up a story. why not? remember the “darkening of Obama” in Hillary commercials? Kos’s too. I wonder if that was polled too.

Update

I since found another diary – which elaborates the “story” with photos of Palin as “proof”. I extracted a few of the comments – a good one

This diary reminds me of the (2+ / 0-)

Awesome effort! (0 / 0)

Everyone knows women are only good barefoot and pregnant!
One bitch down (our darkened Obama video helped!) and another one about to be taken out.
I suggest you throw in some girl on girl action in this story – Keith will leap at this so much faster if you spice it up!
Looking forward when the life of politics will be once again safe again for us guys!

it will, if true, then I will have to go ahead and say that “Yes, God indeed does love Barack Obama”. How lucky can one man get? No, It can’t be this easy….

and as a bonus, here’s Donnie ‘get over it” Fowler giggling about a hurricane hitting during the GOP convention and being proof that “God is on our side”. He better hope no one dies in this funny, funny circumstance

Turns out Michael Moore said it too

As Bobots desperately try to get Hillary supporters to stay put for this guy

one of their talking points is that Palin dissed Hillary saying that she “whined”. It’s of course not true.

here is the entire text in question – plus the link to the 2 videos:

First video

Second video

” I think fair or unfair, and I do think it is a more concentrated criticism that Hillary gets on so many fronts. That’s unfortunate, but fair or unfair I think she does herself a disservice to even mention it. You got to plow through that. You have to know what your getting into. Which I say this with all due respect to Hillary Clinton and to her experience and to her passion for changing the status quo, but when I hear a statement like that coming from any woman candidate with any kind of a perceived whine about that excess criticism or a sharper microscope put on her that doesn’t do us any good.

Women in politics, women in general wanting to progress this country. I don’t think it bodes well for her because a statement like that, again fair or unfair it is a reality, and I think it’s a given. I think people just accept that she is going to be under that sharper microscope. So be it, you have to work harder. Prove yourself to an even greater degree that you’re capable, that you’re going to be the best candidate and that of course is what she wants us to believe at this point. It bothers me a little bit to hear of her bringing that attention to herself.”

Second part of the interview
“I recognize that Hillary seems to be trying real hard to be tough. But..I say more power to her, I think she had to do that! Unfortunate that she’s had to do that. But, she comes across to me as tough, capable, I can respect that in her that she is this tough, capable, and experienced. You wonder though if there is another side to her that is I don’t know softer, softer isn’t the right word. You wonder about the personality. You know what’s the other side like? What I have perceived from watching Main Stream media is she’s trying really hard to be tough and to show that resume and to prove she’s got the experience. That’s been the latest round of everything last week, experience. As you’ve said it’s gone round and round as to what the message has been in the campaign, but it does come back to the experience. I recognize that’s what she’s trying to do and that it’s unfortunate again that maybe a woman candidate feels that they have to go there…(question did you ever feel like you had to go there?)no you know and back to Hillary again.”

Update: Why isn’t she home with her baby?

CNN wonders

And if i thought the media will turn around, now that they got rid of Hillary – I was wrong!

NO WOMAN can pass by Tweety, Ko  & comp! Check out their banner:

.HOW MANY HOUSES DOES PALIN ADD TO THE REPUBLICAN TICKET?

Cannonfire reports the same attitude from the Oborg.

I can’t stand her politics but imagining her as a Dominatrix is kinda hot.

She’ll win the swimsuit portion of the debate

Sure to bring in the Hillary supporters… She does have a vagina, after all.

From Palin speech:

It was rightfully noted in Denver this week that Hillary left 18 million cracks in the highest, hardest glass ceiling in America. But it turns out the women of America aren’t finished yet and we can shatter that glass ceiling once and for all!”

I am good with that.

Karma!

Voters, again don’t listen:

and the polls: Rasmussen

. Before being named as John McCain’s running mate, 67% of voters didn’t know enough about the Alaska governor to have an opinion. After her debut in Dayton and a rush of media coverage, a new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey finds that 53% now have a favorable opinion of Palin while just 26% offer a less flattering assessment.
Palin earns positive reviews from 78% of Republicans, 26% of Democrats and 63% of unaffiliated voters. Obviously, these numbers will be subject to change as voters learn more about her in the coming weeks. Among all voters, 29% have a Very Favorable opinion of Palin while 9% hold a Very Unfavorable view.
By way of comparison, on the day he was selected as Barack Obama’s running mate, Delaware Senator Joseph Biden was viewed favorably by 43% of voters.

Update: No wonder obots are worried:

McCain Gets $7 Million Bounce from Palin Pick

Sen. John McCain has taken in $7 million in contributions since announcing Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate, a top campaign aide said today.

interestingly

Incidentally, Bill Burton, a spokesman for Sen. Barack Obama, declined to reveal how much money the Democratic nominee took in after his speech to 84,000 supporters in Denver and 38 million television viewers.

Anatomy of a slander

asking Bobots if to continue making shit up
