Update
To Tommy Christopher’s credit, he does come ot with an interview of Darragh Murphy
Before I do that, though, let me say that, after reading a lot of what she has to say, I still disagree heartily with her, but I also really like her. She’s got a real way with words, and a refreshing attitude toward discourse.
Fair enough.
Thanks to Alegre’s Corner a new PUMA reference was sighted. Clueless like the rest, but it dies have a new twist:
I don’t know that Iscol is an official PUMA, but judging from her pre-concession screed on Huffpo, I would say she’s at least a fellow traveler.
Obama’s supporters have reacted somewhat disappointingly so far to Obama’s solicitations for donations to retire Hillary’s debt. Their reticence, in turn, may stem from the army of Ahabs who prowl the internet, trying to get John McCain elected in Hillary’s name.
Yum! A literary reference! I like when cluelessness is diversified. I was getting fed up with the “alleged sexism in the media” (a bit of propaganda speed by Dean along with “too bad I don’t have cable, or I might have said something”)
I confess to liking the “army” and the fact that they are wondering if someone is a PUMA or just a fellow traveler – that referential thought pattern is healthy and validating for us.
The departure is not that radical – we’re still irrationally vengeful (see Kinsley’s “What’s their problem?”)
but at least it allows for the possibility that “alleged” sexism is not all there is (we’re also GOP tools)
Again, it would be too much to expect them to actually comprehend our words, but trying more than one wrong theory is a good thing. And gets one right:
In conversations with insiders at a major TV news organization, I’ve noted a dismissiveness of the Dream Ticket story, particularly where the PUMA bloc is concerned.
I confess I like “block” too
“E” for effort….

Non-Sweetie,
glad you liked the reference. I hope you watch for my followup piece. Darragh apparently didn’t want to answer my followup questions, which I will publish. That’s cool, it was nice of her to show up in the first place.
BTW, I posted comments at Allegre’s Corner, but got banned! Nice free exchange of ideas.

I will watch for your piece.
Anyone who makes the effort to get what we are about is welcome here.
As for Allegre – there is some recent history that makes their attitude absolutely justified. maybe you heard of it?

I’m not sure what you’re referring to, but I identified myself, and I was responding to a post that was about me, LOL. The headline was, “Who is Tommy Christopher and Why is he so angry?”
I was just trying to answer them.
While I disagree 1000% with PUMA’s goal of electing John McCain, and I think the charge of sexism against Barack Obama is false and trumped-up, I do have enormous empathy over the sloppy way the DNC ran the primaries. I will never understand how the “solution” to that is electing a man who will be devastating to women and the rest of us. I haven’t heard a cogent argument yet. There must be a thousand other things you could do.
